The basic aircraft platform for the interior conversion is the De Havilland DHC-8 Series 300 aircraft, although similar VIP interiors can also be installed in the Series 200 and Series 400 aircraft. The Series 300 is a civil certified transport aircraft capable of seating configurations of up to 50 passengers in the standard economy class.
The performance characteristics of the DHC-8 aircraft make it a perfect choice for operations into airports where it is not always possible or practical to take a jet. Flying on a turboprop should not limit the possibility of having a luxury interior or cabin amenities found on traditional business jets.
This custom version of the aircraft is equipped with a spacious VIP cabin and retains part of the existing economy cabin.
Luxurious VIP seats, upholstered in supple grey leather, provide seating for four (4) passengers in the VIP cabin. The swivel and tracking capability of the seats facilitates conversations with passengers across the aisle. Custom tables finished in wood grain laminate are positioned between the club-configured VIP seats.
A class divider partition covered in decorative laminate to match the existing interior panels and an aisle curtain are installed between the VIP cabin and the Economy Class cabin for privacy.
A custom buffet cabinet to house china, crystal and flatware for the VIP passengers is located in the forward VIP cabin, while additional storage is available within the custom storage cabinet in the aft of the aircraft. An espresso machine in the 厨房 offers a touch of elegance in cabin service to both the VIP and economy passengers.
Economy seats remain in the aft cabin in this particular configuration. The main interior shell and existing monuments from the commercial configuration of the aircraft are also retained, including sidewall panels, headliners, door surrounds, overhead bins, 厕所, 厨房, 等.
Plush grey wool carpet installed throughout the passenger cabin completes the custom interior conversion.
